This year, our first at FlowReady was about listening, learning, and showing up. We focused on building trust with girls, schools, and families. We also connected with all of you who believed in this work early on.

Thanks to your support, we assisted over 250 girls this year. They received not just supplies but also knowledge, reassurance, and care. We reached 96 girls through menstrual health education sessions. We engaged 30 boys in conversations about menstrual health and respect. We held feedback sessions with 45 girls to ensure their voices guided our work.

We also sat with families through community dialogues with parents at St. Luke Makembo Primary School. We made six home visits. Ongoing conversations remind us how deeply menstrual stigma is woven into everyday life. They highlight how essential trust is to changing that.

In practical terms, 241 reusable sanitary pads were distributed to school girls and parents. Extra stock is reserved at the school. This ensures support doesn’t end when supplies run out. But beyond the numbers, what stayed with us most were the quieter moments. We recall questions asked for the first time. There were fears named out loud, and the relief of being told, “This is normal.”

Alongside education sessions, we also focused on creating safer, more supportive school environments. We distributed menstrual hygiene handbooks. We equipped a dedicated safe space with essential supplies, such as buckets, sanitizers, spare reusable pads, and underwear. We also established strong working relationships with the senior man and woman teachers and school administration. These behind-the-scenes foundations are what allow support for girls to be consistent, trusted, and lasting.

FlowReady exists because of community, and you are part of that community. Whether you donated once, monthly, supported quietly, shared our work, or simply stayed connected, you helped make this year possible.

As we look ahead, we are focused on strengthening what we’ve started. This includes improving our educational materials and deepening partnerships. We also guarantee that every step ahead remains thoughtful, respectful, and sustainable.

If you’d like to continue walking alongside us, we would be grateful. You can stay subscribed, share our work, or support a girl’s journey when you’re able. If this year was simply one where you chose to stand with us in spirit, please know that it mattered too.

Thank you for believing in a world where no girl faces her first period in fear or silence.

Happy Holidays!

With deep appreciation,
Florence Blondel
